Elizabeth Ajalo is a dedicated medical doctor, researcher and passionate advocate for the integration of arts in healthcare (Med-artpreneur). With Bachelors’ in Human Medicine and Surgery from Busitema University, Uganda, she combines her medical expertise with her enthusiasm for creative solutions to address global health challenges.

Elizabeth Ajalo is a dedicated medical doctor, researcher and passionate advocate for the integration of arts in healthcare (Med-artpreneur). With Bachelors’ in Human Medicine and Surgery from Busitema University, Uganda, she combines her medical expertise with her enthusiasm for creative solutions to address global health challenges.
Her research has spanned through topics like: Artificial Intelligence and its role in medical education, maternal conditions like Preeclampsia with quality improvement protocols created and publications in journals like PlosOne, BMC and MedEPublish.
Over the years, she has demonstrated exceptional communication skills, conflict resolution abilities, and keen interest for grant writing and research. She serves as a Communications Manager for the Great African Art Banner Initiative, where she plays a pivotal role in promoting African Renaissance through art.

In addition to her medical endeavors, she is an Aspire Leaders Program Fellow and is deeply involved in community initiatives. Having been the Country Director for Shedad Foundation Uganda, she championed digital literacy programs for rural schools in Mbale district, Uganda, advocating for the well-being of the boy child and promoting Sustainable Development Goals.
With a keen interest in mental health, Elizabeth is committed to bridging the gap between art and medicine. She was an Associate Program Lead for Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship (GAIMF) Cohort 7, a GAIMF Alumnus and is an Innovation for MedTech Fellow, exploring innovative approaches to holistic healthcare. She is program coordinator for Memory Mosaics Initiative that fosters awareness for the arts in improving brain health, as well as part of the KwaImani Community that implements activities for suicide prevention and mental health advocacy in Uganda.
